Hoa Lu and Tam Coc are the places you can make a combination for a day trip from Ha Noi. Hoa Lu was the captital of Viet Nam in 968-980, here you can find out a period of struggling to unify and to protect the country at Dinh & Le temples. Itinerary:
In the morning pick up at hotel from Ha Noi. Road trip takes about 2 hours. Visit Dinh and Le temples in HoaLu - the ancient Capital of Viet Nam. Transfer to Tam Coc for lunch. After lunch you will enjoy a beautiful rowing sampan cruise for about 2 and half hours in small quiet river, which is running in between a rocky mountain ranges and rice paddies. When the boat trip is finished, get on bus for driving back to HaNoi. Tour ends around 5.30 PM.
